Motability Ireland offers a comprehensive range of vehicle reporting services, backed by our team of fully qualified engineers. We hold certification from the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI), ensuring that all our reports meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Our Reporting Services

Our vehicle reports cover various needs, from certification of conversions to regulatory compliance. Below is an overview of the types of paperwork and reports we can provide:

  • SQI Forms

A Suitably Qualified Individual (SQI) must certify a conversion. An SQI must have the appropriate facilities and equipment to conduct the examination and complete the certification.

An SQI must have:

  • an engineering or technical qualification (Level 7 or higher accredited course). Alternatively appropriate accreditation with Engineers Ireland or the Institute of Automotive Engineer Assessors is acceptable.
  • a minimum of five years experience working in a suitable technical environment (preferably an automotive or engineering environment).
  • access to adequate facilities to carry out a thorough vehicle examination

and

  • appropriate professional indemnity insurance

or

  • must be an approved facility (Approved Test Centre (ATC) or Approved Workshop for Conversion of Vehicles for Disabled Drivers).

Prior to converting your vehicle we provide comprehensive explanation, outlining the step by step process involved when converting your vehicle and knowledgeable advice relative to the guidelines and regulations to re-class your particular make and model.

When you have your vehicle conversion carried out independently, Motability Ireland can carry out the inspection on your vehicle and supply the relevant paperwork in line with RSA requirements.

All of our engineers are SQIs (suitably qualified individuals) and can assist you in the criteria needed to convert your vehicle.

If you have any questions relating to your vehicle conversion process, Please contact us, we will happily assist you.

When changing the body of a vehicle, we can supply the relevant paperwork for CVRT (modifications report) or paperwork in order to change the body type on registration book, (Declaration of Vehicle Conversion).

VRT may require an SQI report when the registration certificate does not state the correct body type or actual number of seats.

  • Declaration of Conversions
Official declarations that document any modifications or conversions made to vehicles, meeting regulatory and insurance requirements.

  • Engineers Reports
Detailed assessments conducted by certified engineers, providing insights into vehicle modifications, safety compliance, and overall suitability.

  • Certificate of Conformity (CoC)
This document certifies that your vehicle conforms to European standards, which may be required for registration or importing a vehicle within the EU.
