Boot Hoist

Boot hoists enable you to lift a mobility device, such as a wheelchair, scooter, or powerchair, easily and quickly into your car boot at the touch of a button. This eliminates the need for the wheelchair/scooter user or family member to struggle with getting the device into a vehicle or car when wanting to venture further afield.

Here at Motability Ireland, we offer a range of different hoists to lift all types of scooters and chairs, that suit a range of mobility vehicles. The hoist you will need will depend on the size and weight of your mobility device and the vehicle you are wanting to lift into.

Motability Ireland supplies and fits boot hoists to a variety of estate cars and people carriers which enables manual or battery operated wheelchairs and scooters to be transported with ease in the rear of the vehicle. 

The hoists are manufactured to different lifting capacities depending on the weight of the wheelchair/scooter to be lifted.  The different powered boot hoists are 40KG, 75KG, 100KG, and 150KG.

Here at Motability Ireland we always request to see the vehicle that the boot hoist is being fitted to and the chair/scooter/item that the hoist will be lifting to ensure that vehicle will work and that the correct weight boot hoist is fitted.
